75W-90 Gear Oil (Full Synthetic GL-5)
Greyhound 75W-90 GL-5 Gear Oil is a high-performance full synthetic extreme pressure (EP) lubricant formulated with advanced additive technology. It delivers excellent thermal stability, oxidation resistance, and protection against wear, shock loading, and deposit formation, ensuring extended lubricant and component life under demanding operating conditions.
The synthetic formulation provides consistent performance across a wide temperature range, ensuring smooth operation and reliable protection in both high and low temperature environments. API Performance Levels:
- GL-4 – Moderate EP performance for certain manual gearboxes and synchronised transmissions where compatibility with yellow metals (such as brass/bronze components) is required.
- GL-5 – High EP performance for hypoid gears, axles, and differentials operating under severe load and shock conditions. This product is formulated to meet GL-5 performance requirements.
Use GL-5 for differential and final drive applications requiring maximum load protection. Use GL-4 only where specified by the equipment manufacturer.

The synthetic formulation provides excellent low-temperature fluidity, thermal stability, and oxidation resistance, ensuring reliable protection under both high and low temperature conditions. It is suitable for passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, and heavy-duty equipment where API GL-5 performance is specified.
Greyhound™ G-Moto Gear Pro SAE 75W-90 GL-5 is recommended for differentials and final drives requiring high EP protection. It may be used in certain manual transmissions only where API GL-5 is specifically required. Not suitable for applications requiring API GL-4 or where yellow metal compatibility is critical.
