Hydraulic Oil
Greyhound Lubricants supplies anti-wear hydraulic oil for mobile plant, presses, injection moulding machines, hydraulic power packs and industrial systems across South Africa.
Hydraulic oil is selected primarily on ISO viscosity grade. ISO 32 suits high-speed, cooler-running systems, ISO 46 is the general-purpose grade for most industrial and mobile equipment in local ambient conditions, and ISO 68 is used where operating temperatures or loads run higher. Beyond viscosity, the additive system matters: zinc-based anti-wear chemistry protects vane and piston pumps, while good demulsibility, air release and filterability keep the system clean and responsive. Where equipment operates across a wide temperature range, a high viscosity index fluid holds its film strength better.
Keeping hydraulic oil clean is as important as choosing the right grade, since most hydraulic failures trace back to contamination rather than the oil itself.
