High-Temperature Clay Greases
Greyhound clay-based greases developed with the help of bentonite clay or other clay-based soaps. This grease type is often called non-melt lubricant because it has no dropping point. Its main properties are temperature change resistance, great wear and tear protection, exceptional water tolerance, good mechanical stability, and impressive adhesiveness. Bentone grease is ideal for highly-demanding applications and it’s typically used in the steel, manufacturing, construction, mining, and ceramic industry. The greases are useful in applications where melting-out or dripping of grease would cause damage to production, materials or the environment.
Application: Multi-purpose, outdoor gear, conveyor belts, marine application
Greyhound™ Bentonite (BE) EP2 grease is a high-viscosity base oil, thickened with bentonite. It contains a complex of functional additives. This is the clay-based grease where its EP (Extreme Pressure) characteristics are achieved through the natural characteristics, so when the EP is triggered, the load is held up by the “natural/functional thickener” of bentonite, as bentonite itself is an EP additive.
Greyhound™ BE EP2 can be used It is intended for lubrication of sliding and rolling bearings operating at low speeds and high temperatures or under conditions of cyclic temperature changes from room to high. Particularly suitable for lubricating bearings of mechanisms, operating at long intervals of changing lubricant, at low speeds, or subject to shock load. Temperature range: -30°C to +170°C (Shorttemp +180°C).
The grease is particularly useful in applications where melting-out or dripping of grease would cause damage to production, materials, or environment and therefore is highly recommended for overhead conveyor bearings in high-temperature or fluctuating temperature environments. Not recommended for automotive use. Do not mix with non-bentonite greases.
Specifications: NLGI 1/2, DIN 51502: KH2R-20
Benefits:
- The Multi-Purpose character of the grease may replace a wide range of greases, allowing to decrease in the number of stock items, achieving economies of scale and simplification maintenance;
- Waterproof, resistant to melting;
- Good sealing properties in dusty conditions;
- Excellent anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation properties;
- High anti-seize and anti-wear properties;
- Wide temperature range.
Application: High-Temperature up to 300°C, multi-purpose, joints & axles, circulating systems
Greyhound™ Therm-300 EP1/2 grease is intended for a wide range of temperatures with increased longevity. With operating temperatures up to 300°С grease does not soften and does not cause leakage of the lubricant at high temperatures, which could disrupt the normal lubrication process. The grease is mineral oil-based, solidified with inorganic thickener, and contains extreme pressure (EP), antiwear and anti-friction additives.
Therm-300 is a pure non-toxic lubricant. It has high loading capabilities as well as water washout resistance. The grease is a homogeneous ointment, varying from yellow to brown, and has a smooth-textured composition.
Greyhound™ Therm-300 EP1/2 grease can be used in both automotive and industrial applications ranging from multi-purpose to very specific applications. The grease ensures the lubrication of components, working under very high temperatures, and very heavy or shock loads, like bearings, slide bearings, axles, and joints. The grease can be also used on parts (exposed to high temperatures, that are installed in equipment (circulation fans on BN-type gas furnaces, transporter mechanisms, and kiln tunnels). Temperature range: -40°C to +300°C.

Application: Multi-purpose, outdoor gear, conveyor belts, marine application
Greyhound™ Therm-400 Synthetic EP1/2 is a synthetic grease with special additives intended for a wide range of temperatures, which can withstand the temperature of 400°С. At its maximum operating temperature, the grease does not soften and does not cause leakage of the lubricant at high temperatures, which could disrupt the normal lubrication process. The grease is synthetic based, solidified with inorganic thickener, and contains extreme pressure (EP), anti-wear and anti-friction additives.
Therm-400 is a pure non-toxic lubricant. It has high loading capabilities as well as water washout resistance. The grease is a homogeneous ointment, varying from grey to black in color, and has a smooth-textured composition.
