TO-4 Transmission Fluid
Greyhound TO-4 Transmission and Drive Train Fluid range is specifically formulated to meet SAE 10, SAE 30, SAE 40, SAE 50 and 60 Caterpillar’s latest Transmission and Drive Train Lubricant specifications. TO-4 Transmission fluid supersedes and replaces Caterpillar TO-2 requirements. Greyhound TO-4 Transmission fluid provides improved clutch life when compared to the previous TO-2 Fluid along with improved control of gear wear in SAE 30 for transmissions, gearboxes, and SAE 50 for final drive trains. TO-4 has outstanding hydraulic oil stability and allows protection against high-pressure pump wear.
Greyhound TO-4 Transmission oil will provide excellent service in both new and older Caterpillar equipment and also meets the Allison C-4 requirements for use in Allison powershift transmissions. TO-4 Fluid is also formulated to protect against corrosion in yellow metals. Found in a wide range of systems, including hydraulic systems, thrust washers, sintered bronze friction plates and oil cooling systems, Greyhound TO-4 Fluid maintains the protection of copper, resulting in optimal performance, even in the harshest circumstances.
Application: Yellow Equipment Transmissions and Hydraulic Systems
Greyhound™ Transmission Oil TO-4 SAE 10W is a special lubricant suitable for use in Caterpillar machines. It is to be used for the lubrication of power shifts, direct drive transmissions, final drives, differentials, winches, clutch plates, gears, and bearings.
Greyhound™ TO-4 oil series are specifically formulated SAE 10W, SAE 30, 50, and SAE 60 oils designed to meet Caterpillar’s latest Transmission and Drive Train Lubricant specification.
Greyhound™ TO-4 SAE 10W and 30 are formulated for the hydraulic system and transmission, while SAE 50 and 60 are formulated for differentials and final drives where lubrication of very heavily loaded gears and bearings is the main consideration. In compartments without frictional materials, such as wet brakes and clutches, Transmission Oil TO-4 SAE 50 and 60 are very effective lubricants.
Specifications: ISO VG10, Allison C-3/4 Fluids, Cat TO-4, GL-3/4, KOMATSU KES 07.868.1, DANA, Vickers M-2950-S, EATON-Fuller, EUCLID, TREMAC/TTC.
Benefits:
- Improved Clutch Life: Up to 45% over TO-2 fluids. Balanced static/dynamic friction provides clutch durability and maximum power transfer throughout the service interval giving greater equipment productivity.
- Wear Protection: Outstanding shear stability, viscosity retention, and increased film strength provide reduced wear on gears, bearings, and clutches to give longer transmission life and less downtime.
- High-Temperature Protection: Provides excellent thermal, oxidation, sludge, corrosion, and deposit protection for increased transmission temperatures, severe service, and extended oil life.
- Low-Temperature Fluidity: Superior cold temperature flow characteristics assure ease of pumping, reduced wear, and good shifting capabilities, even at extremely low temperatures.
Application: Yellow Equipment Transmissions and Hydraulic Systems
Greyhound™ Transmission Oil TO-4 SAE30 is a special lubricant suitable for use in Caterpillar machines.
