Acid Based Cleaners

Acid based cleaners remove the deposits that alkaline and solvent products cannot touch: limescale, rust, cement and mortar residue, mineral staining, oxidation on metal and traffic film bonded to aluminium.

Typical applications include descaling boilers, heat exchangers and cooling systems, cleaning truck and trailer aluminium, removing cement splash after construction work, and brightening or preparing metal before coating. Because these products work by chemical attack, dwell time and dilution have to be controlled: too weak and nothing happens, too strong or too long and the substrate itself is damaged.

Handle with proper care. Use acid-resistant gloves and eye protection, ventilate the area, always add acid to water rather than water to acid, never mix with chlorine-based or alkaline products, test on an inconspicuous area first and rinse thoroughly. Read the safety data sheet before first use.
