Washing Powder

Industrial washing powder is supplied in bulk pack sizes for laundries, hostels, guest houses, mine and factory change houses and any operation washing overalls and workwear in volume.

Industrial laundry is a different problem from domestic washing. Overalls carry oil, grease, carbon and ground-in dust rather than everyday soiling, so the detergent needs a higher builder and surfactant loading to lift oily soil and hold it in suspension so it does not redeposit on the fabric. Buying in bulk also brings the cost per wash down substantially compared with retail packs.

Dose by load weight and soil level rather than by eye, use the correct water temperature for the soil type, and avoid overloading the machine since mechanical action does much of the work. Very heavily oiled garments may need a pre-soak or a dedicated degreasing additive.
