Lithium Complex

Lithium complex grease uses a complex soap thickener that raises the dropping point well above conventional lithium grease, making it the choice where operating temperatures run high or duty is continuous.

Typical applications include vehicle wheel bearings, electric motor bearings, kiln and fan bearings, conveyor systems and heavy mobile plant working long shifts. Beyond temperature capability, lithium complex offers good mechanical stability under vibration, strong water resistance and, in EP grades, the extreme-pressure additive treat needed for shock and high contact loads. NLGI 2 is the standard consistency for rolling element bearings, with the base oil viscosity chosen for bearing speed: heavier base oils for slow, heavily loaded bearings and lighter ones for high-speed duty.

Lithium complex is generally compatible with conventional lithium grease, but it is still best practice to purge the old product when changing types.
