Wire Rope Grease EP1 500g | Calcium Sulfonate Rope and Cable Lubricant

Greyhound™ Wire Rope Grease EP1 is a purple calcium sulfonate grease blended on a high viscosity base oil to penetrate between the strands of steel wire rope and stay there. It lubricates the inner wires where rope fatigue starts, seals out water and grit, and leaves a tough corrosion-resistant film on the outside of the rope.

The soft NLGI 1 consistency works into the rope by brush, glove or drip applicator, and the calcium sulfonate thickener gives the water resistance, high dropping point and rust protection that lithium rope dressings lack. The purple colour shows which ropes have been serviced.

The 500g tub is ideal for workshops, field service and routine maintenance.

Operating Temperature Range: -30 °C to +190 °C

Main Applications: Crane and hoist wire ropes, winch cables on trucks and recovery vehicles, mine and shaft ropes, lift ropes, boat winch cables, sheaves, drums and pulleys, chains and steel cables exposed to weather.
