Greases
Greyhound Lubricants blends and supplies grease for automotive workshops, mining, agriculture and general industry across South Africa. The range covers lithium and lithium complex, calcium and calcium sulphonate, clay-based (bentonite), copper compound, rubber and open gear products.
Selecting a grease means matching four things: the thickener type, the NLGI consistency grade, the base oil viscosity and the additive package. Lithium complex handles higher operating temperatures than conventional lithium. Calcium sulphonate offers strong water resistance and load carrying for wet or washdown conditions. Clay-based greases have no dropping point and suit very high temperature bearings. NLGI 2 is the general-purpose consistency for most bearing applications, with softer grades used for centralised lubrication systems.
Grease is packed from 500g tubs and cartridges through 5kg, 17kg and 180kg kegs for bulk plant use.
